Lifetime Member Award
Lifetime member awards are to be given to recognize and honor club members who have given exemplary service to better the club over a period of years approaching a decade or more. The Capital Curling Club is a largely volunteer organization and many members step forward and serve the club during a term in office or for a period of years but only a select few go above and beyond “taking their turn” and serve the club for a decade or more – a lifetime of service. It is not intended that this award be given annually but only when the long-time efforts of an individual so warrants. Related services may include, but are not limited to, duties such as being a club officer, serving on the board of directors, starting and running sustainable programs, organizing leagues, instruction, ice and/or club maintenance, running bonspiels and special events, etc. In order to receive the award, candidates should be held in high esteem by other club members and, if applicable, by Bismarck Park Board staff members. Recipients of lifetime member awards are given free membership in the club for as long as they remain active in club activities.
